Candidate Nomination

On Friday, February 17, Ron Liepert announced that he would not seek re-election. The Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Association has established a Local Candidate Nomination Committee (LCNC), as required under the Rules and Procedures for Candidate Nominations.

Pursuant to Section 5 a) of the Conservative Party of Canada Rules and Procedures for Candidate Nominations (“the Rules”) the nomination Closing Notice in the Electoral District of Calgary Signal Hill occurred on Wednesday May 22, 2024, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Anybody who wishes to be a Nomination Contestant must submit their completed candidate nomination application to Conservative Party of Canada Headquarters via the CPC Candidate Nomination Application Portal, by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday May 22, 2024.

Anybody who wishes to be eligible to vote at the nomination meeting(s), the date(s), time(s) and location(s) of which will be announced at a later date, must be a member of the Conservative Party of Canada and residing in the Electoral District of Calgary Signal Hill as of Friday May 10, 2024. New memberships must be received by Party Headquarters by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday May 10, 2024. Memberships can be purchased online until 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Friday May 10, 2024.

Any member whose membership has expired within the previous ninety (90) days of two (2) days following the issuance of the Closing Notice shall be eligible to vote provided that the member pays the appropriate membership renewal fee in the amount and in the manner required by the Party.
